My friend Dana came to hang out today!  She brought along her baby shower gift as she's not sure she will be able to make it.  In my invite I asked to avoid plastic toys, so she made me this amazing octopus plush! The picture doesn't do it justice! <3

Dana is quite artistic and also painted these for baby - they're 4 separate paintings. So beautiful!

Makes me feel warm and fuzzy to think of the time she put into making these things for us.

I found these (2) nice boxes at Michael's today for half off, regular 16.99.  I got 2 to go on a shelf on the change table I have (that is currently in Sarnia). Aqua is my favourite colour and mmm aqua and green are so yummy together. I was excited to come home and put some baby things SOMEWHERE.

That resulted in me sorting baby clothes by size, and putting the ones that still need to be washed together. Yay, organizing.  Really, really wish that furniture was here! Need. To. Nest.

This is the outfit I'm going to bring her home in. So cute! I cant wait to pack her bag.

4 + 5 + 6 + 7

My life has been rather boring and lazy the last few days, so I haven't taken any pictures. So, I'm going to substitute with some pictures from the last couple months...and all cute critters!  They were all taken with my iphone.

This is Roscoe.  He's my mom's basset hound.  I often end up with winky pictures of him!

My mom works at a humane society and when I'm visiting I go in with her for her Sunday shifts.  I fall in love with many, many kitties...this is one of them: his name is George. Luckily, he has found a home! He is very cuddly, yet spunky and energetic. <3

Another shelter kitty...my love, Nelson.  Part siamese, part tabby, one of the most beautiful kitties I've ever met!  He has found a home as well, but I wish it was my home.

This is my Gershwin.  He moved back home with my mom when he had a health issue, then a boyfriend moved in with a dog who doesn't know how to live with kitties...then Gersh got really sick and has high vet bills, so we can't be reunited. It's a tragic story. I miss him so, and we weren't sure he was going to live when his liver started shutting down.
He is famous for his large snaggle teeth and loves to rub them on many things, such as body parts, wrist jewelry, and cat trees. This has earned him the nickname "Snaggles" (but he is most commonly referred to as "Poo" or "PooPoo").

It hasnt stopped snowing for the last 3-4 days.  I've been hibernating.  I miss the sun.

All my baby stuff is in bags in a corner of my room, as my living situation is unknown as of yet and my dresser is 3 hours away.  So, my nesting is limited to going through said bags and looking at the stuff. Here is one of my favourite baby gifts so far: a sweet handmade quilt with a kitty in the centre, given to us by my Aunt Vivian from NB.  My family are extreme cat lovers! Between 10 of us (Nana, her 3 daughters, and their children), there are 23 or 24 cats. My mom has 7 (two are (were) technically mine).

I cant wait to hang this on a wall.

One of my bigger accomplishments of yesterday was painting my toes! I hope they stay nice until March so I don't have to redo them; 29 week baby belly gets in the way.

1 + 2

A day late, oops.

1) My Nana and I share a love for owls (and knick knacks). Last Christmas she gave me a cute little snowy owl figure (she has one as well). This year she gave me an owl ornament, and this beautiful owl calendar. It was hard to get a picture as it's kind of high on the wall.

2. My Grandpa passed away December 16. He and my Nana were married for 62 years. My Nana encouraged us to take home something of his. He had a little ship collection; he loved ships and spent time in the Navy on a war ship. My Mom and I each have one, this is the one I have.

It is covered in years of dust.
The poppy is one that was used in a ceremony the legion put on during his visitation.
